"Too easy readin people tweein tweakin like they hate you, but what's even easier is calling your mom just to say thank you." Damn it's been a while since I've listened to this but it still hits home on so many levels

I like the beginning when he was actually rapping. After awhile he just started talking.. _" it became just meaningful talking. It wasn't rapping anymore.Stop doing that shit. Keep rapping it.

"They say the darkest night comes, before the brightest morning. I like to think I would ask the right things, if God was right before me: 'Like, why you let babies get shot while babies is killing? All because, the system that raised me, from grade school made me the villain.' Barely out of my mama's crib; can't even tie my own laces. Just moved into a brand new place; but somehow, I still miss my basement. I guess the thing about looking back is, you can't change leaving. And I guess the thing about judging the past, is that it just ain't even."- Vic Mensa. BEST LINE/VERSE OFF THE WHOLE TRACKRockie gave him his shine.

Awkward Conformity

There's no comparing Vic Mensa and Chance, Chance blew up first because he has a unique voice with incredible use of worldplay. Although Vic is great, he is a traditional rapper trying to become mainstream and although he has the talent to do it, he won't be able to without the help of Chance and other notable rappers, talent alone isn't enough anymore to breakthrough.
