This is the one I was searching for. From beginning to end, magnificent. Kai Winding's instrumental is out of sight too. Both from 1963.

This and Andy William's versions are, I suppose, "popularized" ones. Made faster paced and "rock and rollish." I prefer the Vic Damone version - deliberate and grand. Guess I'm old fashined.

I'd like to place this on my female friends television set under love song favorites, yet all 3 Vic Dana More videos here on YouTube do not show up on television sets. It only shows on my desktop, and when I send an email of this to the television set it says video not available for tv and goes to next non related video. In fact when I look it up directly (Vic Dana-More)on my Google Sony tv box none of the 3 appear except it shows all of the other songs Vic sang. Does someone have a thought or maybe be able to place a t.v. version on here? Any thoughts appreciated?

Super Cool "Surfer Style" music of 1963! Dana's version is the original (English) vocal recording. Sadly only reached #42 on the US charts. The earlier instrumental release by (Danish) Kai Winding Orchestra proved more successful on the hit list. MORE, later made even bigger success when covered by Sinatra, Andy Williams & Julie London among others.

@rorigiles This seems to be very similar to the Kai Winding orchestration.

I heard this song done live by the late Canadian singer Tommy Common back in the late 1960s. I have loved it ever since.

Of the vocal versions, I like this one the best, as it echoes the kai winding instrumental. Wish I could find Mondo Cane at the video store.
