Wonderama must have had the hippest kids in America, or their parents were all living on Spahn Ranch at the time.

Hair just too short to be later than 1967. In my opinion, as I that saw them in 66 and 68. As for he that is puzzled about lack of lip sync and instruments. Yikes puzzled? It was a JOKE, man. You have had your leg pulled right from its socket. The Psychedelic "effects" also part of the Joke

To pip12111 who wrote"Carmine Appice looks embarrassed" Actually it was quite likely Carmen's idea to do this; Carmen has a lot of humor and imp in him.

Even though VF's song is from '67, this appearance on Wonderama is not. It's more likely the early 70s, as Wonderama didn't have musical guests on the show until after 1970. Oddly enough, most rock bands appeared on Wonderama with all their instruments, so VF's lip synching and lack of instruments on this song is quite puzzling.

This is an incredible video. The power of Youtube. Instant favorite. There must be a story behind this video. Their instruments must have been shipped somewhere else, or they forced to look like jackasses because many of the live shows refused to allow for live vocals or music after the antics of Jim Morrisson, etc.

God, this is obviously the infancy of pre-MTV when no one obviously gave a crap. Good song though.

How do they do that with no guitar?
