Normally I cannot stand Van Morrison but this track is really captivating, his rimbaudian narrative approach to vocals is so much better than that nasal yawp he normally favours

What happened to a sense of wonder? We still have it.....we still wonder at the beauty of this music....it's dimmer, but not dead.

Thank you very much for posting this lovely song. I come from Belfast, East Belfast exactly. Van Morrison grew up in the same district of Dundela and Hollywood Arches, Ballyhackamore district. It was edging on the leafy suburbs towards the rest of the County Down. Though we had troubles..the people also had a time of remembrance to a time of very rich community life. This song reminds me of those times.

He came here to open our minds in that sense of wonder, pure genius

And we walked the pagan streams And searched for white horses on surrounding hills We lived where dusk had meaning And repaired to quiet sleep, where noise abated In touch with the silence On Honey Street, on Honey Street What happened to a sense of wonder On yonder hillside, getting dim Why didn't they leave us, alone Why couldn't we just be ourselves We could dream, and keep bees And live on Honey Street... Amazing lyrics,Van Morrison is great!!!
