A no holds barred effort by Van the Man. One of the best versions vocally and the heavily Irish influenced music, combined with the post vocal section, makes this version one that belongs in the top ten. The second CD of Hymns to the Silence is the one to get if you have to choose. The first CD is rather weak. I do like the All Saints Day he did with Georgie Fame better then the one he did on Hymn's, but not by much. An excellent effort by Van.

@tiamaria64 This is such a great album. It appears that they have not re-issued this double CD, as new copies are selling on Amazon for $105.00. I also note the 1990 verson of the CD TB Sheets (since reissued in 2010) costs around $50. Van's music is indeed that invaluable!
