In response to all of you guys on here....I totally ship Team Stelena, and my reasons closely resemble that of the characters on the show. First of all, yes, Stefan and Damon have both done really crappy things to Elena, but at least Stefan lets her make her own choices. I bet that it is Damon, and not Elena, who makes the choice that she completes the transition, by forcing her to turn. It's just something I could see him doing. Second, Damon's love CONSUMES her, and Stefan's doesn't.

Even though I prefer DE over SE anytime, I have to say the "if Stefan truly loved her the compulsion wouldn't work" argument that pops up here is reeaally weak. You could tell Stefan was fighting the compulsion with every fiber of his being, and that's saying something, considering Klaus is an Original vampire. I know "True love conquers all", but sometimes it just... doesn't. He did the best he could do and it's plain to see he loves Elena (and that's coming from a DE-shipper!)
