Abbey Road is the 11th studio album by The Beatles released in 1968. It went out to sell 30 million copies worldwide and hit #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It contains the #1 hits “Come Together” and “ Something.” It was ranked #14 on the Rolling Stone magazine’s list of "500 Greatest Albums of All Time." The album is a rock album that incorporates different genres such as blues, pop, and progressive rock. It was a departure from their psychedelic sound on their previous few albums. The recording sessions for the album were the last in which all four Beatles participated. Although Let It Be was the final album that the Beatles completed before the band's dissolution in April 1970, most of the album had been recorded before the Abbey Road sessions began.
