I know what you mean, but matt has an awful habit of not screaming or singing when he should, he loses his breath quickly and talks the lyrics quite often. Its a weakness that he hasn't strengthened. Cory is a better screamer than matt. He sounds evil when he screams. Matt sounds like he is constantly struggling.

I mainly listen to trivium for the spot on guitar work and drums(awsome). But I have never really got into matts vocals. Live he struggles a hell of a lot, why do all the growling screaming shouting vocals if its incoherent and hard to achieve. Once you can reproduce studio quality in a real life performance like ahem ( metallica). Then you will be appreciated more. I think your music is fantastic just vocals need sorting. Crusade was my face album as there wasn't so much screaming drivel.

Probably my favorite on the album. Rain was my #1 on Ascendancy for the longest time until I heard them play this live in 2012.

I wish they somehow could've played it in the tune it is on studio. I love it here and live at wacken 2011 but I feel like it should be one step higher of note. The song is a bit "darker" feeling than it should although it's meaning is of a dark nature.
