I think Trivium sounds like Metallica quite a bit in their early days, but still had an original sound. In fact I think. They're better musicians than Metallica.

I listen to almost nothing but hip-hop today yet i still enjoy listening to some good old Trivium since i used to listen to alot of Metal, trivium we're one of those bands i started my metal journey with, most people start with other bands when first listening to metal but me it was these guys, and like i said i still listen to metal and still enjoy trivium, music is music

Sound like Metallica? These guys? You should share some of that shit that you've been smoking.I am an occasional Trivium listener and not too familiar with 90% of their catalogue, but Trivium is a band that I can easily identify if someone were to test me. Their songs have a certain sound to them, and Matt's vocals can be easily recognized. These guys sound nowhere close to Metallica.

Ember, Ascendancy, Crusade, Shogun... Awesome. In Waves and Vengeance Falls comes along, and then I go off Trivium. I listened to Strife and so on, still awesome musicians of course. But then I stumble on old videos and remember that feeling I used to get listening to them.
