@dakotamanomgwtf yeah, what you said at the last. To them, it would be very hard to relate. oh they could hear all the stuff just like we can but w/o a frame of reference. They'd have NO clue what all that distortion was. WE know it's an elec guitar into an amp with too much gain and it clips the tops of the signals but they wouldn't know. they'd be like... is that a broken violin or just someone going "shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" the whole time? hahah12 years ago

@dakotamanomgwtf I was thinking to myself and typing at the same time. IOW, ALL that we hear is just a bunch of vibrations somewhere between 20Hz and 20,000Hz. We can only recognize this music as music because we've heard metal from the 70s and 80s. Anyone from say 1920s back would have no idea what these sounds meant. There was no electric guitar prior to the 1950s. !12 years ago
