Trevor Rabin's guitarwork is mainly pentatonic scales with a lots of major/minor use and fast paced soloing thru a series of effects, compression, harmonizer and delay. To me he represents THE tone of the '80s. The layering of sounds, the electronics. He was not a guitarist but a classical pianoplayer who incorporated his style into the guitar. Steve is way different, a more classical and folk oriented player and someone who creates his own compositions by having absorbed the style of his favourite players, Chet Atkins to name one. So you can't compare the 2 really. Different era's of music but both masters of their instrument in each unique way. Trevor also brought a lot of commercial appeal to the band which I'm very thankful of otherwise I wouldn't have known Yes.

Ouch!!! Amazing musician. Great composer. Good pianist. Amazing guitar player. Good engineer. Trevor Rabin is really amazing. I just think that his playing is a little bit soulless and i'm not a great fan of his tone. And this composition is a mixture of styles like he is a number in a circus. I have doubts about the good taste. Neverthless, what an amazing and accoumplished musician.

SAM.........your a moron !!!!! I have seen YES 7 times....3 with Steve and 3 with Trevor, and the union tour with both of them. I have to say that Trevor is more versatile , polished and just plain ripps on the guitar. Steve sounds great on the studio stuff, but live...I was a bit disappointed . Messy chopps, sloppy....ugh....he needs to stick to his classical studio work . Trevor is definitely more well rounded, smoother, faster and has better sound. Yes was way better with Trevor !!!! If the band ASIA had Trevor...OH BOY...would have been a monster group. Nuff said

Fantastic, and a treat to listen to. All the layers of changes remind me a little of Mike Oldfield. But this still has Trevor's style. Great stuff.

I keep coming back to watch this every few weeks and each time I do, I hear or see something that I had not heard or seen before. The entire album is so masterfully done. The musical world is a better place with Trevor playing in it!!! I Sure wish I could see him live again...maybe with Jon and Rick (HINT) (HINT)!! We can always hope!!
