kind of a bummer hearing trent talk so highly of mjk when i heard (i believe it was) marc maron ask "so you're friends with trent reznor, right?" to which maynard replied "we've met."

Yes please. Maynard and Trent 10/10! I thought tapeworm was a 9/10 but he's the one making it. I know how that goes. I have scrapped so many drawings that people would say were very decent works of art. We are our biggest critics. One question though Trent, when has the pressure from the label ever stopped you from making anything? Maybe my view on this matter is skewed and biased by my love for you and your music.Keep on kicking ass boys!

Well you can clearly hear Trent's influence in the song 'Potions' by Puscifer, I'd love a whole album of that shit

Two of the most brilliant-minded artists of our time putting their styles and ideas together sounds like a great idea but, what will the world think about that? I'm personally hoping to hear more about it to tell ya the truth. But that's just me.

Musicians influences change throughout the years. Maynard wrote a song about his kid "H.". People's taste in different sounds change. Just because Trent wrote more harsh music when he was younger, doesn't mean he will now. His life has much more order and stability. So of course his music will reflect that. Both Trent and Maynard have grown. So have their musical tastes. Maybe you haters should attempt to grow as well instead of being stuck in the past.

you dumb ass rock stars tickle me...you sit there bitching and complaining about how phony the record company is and all the silly bullshit they make you do and how your are soo restricted in your creativity... blah, blah , blah...but yet you hypocrites still cash the checks .... and when you get old the laws of economics kicks in and the almighty dollar is the only tangible creative goal there really is and when you realize that then take a good look in the mirror...you have finally become the thing you hate

Here's my opinion on the people who say "1/10" on HM. You guys disgust me. Sure, it's not his BEST, but anything NIN releases is amazing. Plus, Trent is just exploring new roads with NIN. Is that so bad? The Beatles explored new road by ditching the all-for-the-girls reputation and went for a more adult target audience, and they're the best rock band in history, as well as most of their fans preferring the later Beatles rather than the earlier. Green Day explored new roads by going from punk-garage band to mainstream and they're one of the biggest selling bands of today. The lesson? Let the man explore. It might turn out what he's known for.
