Back in the day, when THR was playing the local clubs in Cambridge and Boston, I use to go to as many shows as I could; sometimes 3 times a week. Plough & Stars, The Rat in Kenmore Sq., Jacks (which burnt down on a night they had a gig there), and the Middle East when it still only had an upstairs. One night I was in NYC. I found out they were playing at the Rodeo Bar on 28th. I only had enough money for the cover. I walked 32 blocks at night both ways. THR's music is food for my soul.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this! Treat Her Right's music will be with me to my deathbed. They were a huge part of my coming of age in Boston in the 80s. My friends and I followed them around their gigs in Boston and beyond. Absolutely loved all of them. Sandman was the king. Fitting on harp, and singing, will always stick with me for his sheer presence on stage. Dave Champagne was absolutely phenomenal. We followed a bit onto Morphine days, but THR as a group was THE BEST.
