The debut single from the band's disappointing third album "Little Magnets Versus the Bubble of Babble" - there didn't seem to be many half-decent copies of this on Youtube, so I thought I'd post it (stereo too!)

This got to number 30 in the UK charts and was the penultimate single before the band broke up.

yeah, the 90s started into some really interesting musical styles. For a short time "Alternative" meant different. Then for some reason creativity died and everything became garage/grunge.

sounds like it was more a case of being ahead of their time...not so long after you had bands like Garbage and the Cardigans with a similar sound who were very successful artists.

This silly think won't let me put links in, but if you goto amazon uk site and search for the album names (with "re-presents" afterwards), the tracklists are there. Basically, 2-disk sets with the usual album on disk 1 and all the otherwise-unrepresented B sides etc. on disk 2.

Well I dunno if it was all that great! To be honest they had put better tracks out as chuck-away B-sides. Take "W11 Blues", and "My Friend The Tom Cat" (a sort of take on Iggy's "Nightclubbing"), and also possibly "The Mystery Song" - all of those are worthwhile. Also, perhaps, "Punky Says" and "Honey Honey". People might like to know that remastered versions of the first 2 albums (but not the third) - complete with all B-sides as bonus tracks - are coming out on Mar 25th.

Disappointing third album? This is by far my favorite of their songs.

I was in London when they released this. Saw them in concert as well. It was not a disappointing album but I guess it was their time to go.....
