Track #2: The Missing Piece (feat. Lizzie Huffman)

From "Razia's Shadow: A Musical" by Forgive Durden, uploaded for everyone to enjoy!

Let me know if you have any requests for any other songs/albums you'd like to see :)

LYRICS:

[Ahrima (played by Thomas Dutton)]

What a splendid mess!

O the Scientist, and his Genesis.

He overlooks my gift and then I think

She's the only who knows what I could have done.

I must be patient.

They will realize what I know inside.

I was meant to lead this world to greater things;

It's my destiny.

Everything seems to fade when I see her face.

The sky and trees all blur everytime I look at her!

Nobody understood me till her eyes fixed upon me.

My puzzle life's complete, now that I've found the missing piece!

[Nidria (played by Lizzie Huffman)]

Don't you worry, boy, it's a waste of time.

Place your hand on mine, untie your mind.

We'll just float away into the day.

You're not the only one who thinks they're falling in love.

You must be patient.

They will realize what I see inside.

You were meant to lead this world to greater things;

It's your destiny.

[Ahrima (played by Thomas Dutton)]

Everything seems to fade when I see her face.

The sky and trees all blur everytime I look at her!

Nobody understood me till her eyes fixed upon me.

My puzzle life's complete, now that I've found the missing piece!

O, you're the meaning!

Nidria, please listen, I'd like to explain.

I should have told you sooner, it's been gnawing at my brain.

My mind's in knots, it's got me lost,

Please help me through the maze.

'Cause you're the key, the lock turning,

The breaking of these chains!

[Nidria (played by Lizzie Huffman)]

Everything seems to fade when I see his face.

It seems all the stars turn down everytime I look at him!

Nobody understood me till his eyes fixed upon me.

My puzzle life's complete, now that I've found the missing piece!

[Ahrima (played by Thomas Dutton)]

Everything seems to fade when I see her face.

The sky and trees all blur everytime I look at her!

Nobody understood me till her eyes fixed upon me.

My puzzle life's complete, now that I've found the missing piece!

[The Narrator (played by Aaron Weiss)]

Ahrima, the most gifted serif, the utmost skilled of the cherubs,

He felt his aptitude and slate were being misused.

Shamed, he repined this to O the Scientist,

Who replied with a calm face...expressionless.

[Ahrima (played by Thomas Dutton)]

Dream with your eyes closed...

Try and pluck the pearl from your bones...

Dream with your eyes closed...

Try and pluck the pearl from your bones...

"The sun and stars turn dim" make much more sense, thank you for that. :) Also, I believe your right about "seraph" being the correct word as well.

I always heard it as "The sun and stars turn dim", which rhymes with the next line "every time I look at him". Also, I can't shake the feeling that "the most gifted serif", should be "the most gifted seraph", as a seraph is a high-ranking angel, whereas a serif is a little decorative line found in certain fonts. To really play up the know-it-all angle, the word "seraphim" means "burning one". Unless those are actually the lyrics provided by Forgive Durden.

First off, I would like to thank you for uploading the entire soundtrack, it's been a pleasure listening to it. :) But, I think there is an error in your description. During Nidrias' part where you have "Seems all the stars turn down" I think it should be "The sun and stars turn down". I'm not trying to offend or be nitpicky. Thank you once again for uploading this. :)

listened to this in 8th grade in English and analyzed the meaning. I love everything about it and the songs are so damn catchy! almost 3 years since then and I suddenly remembered about this. it took me at least 20 minutes to find because I couldn't remember the name. funny how its been so long yet I knew almost every word

Her name is Lizzie Huffman. She's not very well known, but if you look her up on Youtube, you'll find her. She sounds a bit different than she does in Razia's Shadow, though.
