is it weird that Toxic Holocaust is better than slayer in a thrash sense. well especially with slayer's more recent stuff. you can tell they have classic Slayer influences.

People is going to talk about something related to the music. The Metal community is too diverse so of course sub genre discussion is going to come up.

I do this the whole time, but under every song people discuss like shit, get trolled and such stuff -.-" Sometimes I just rage about it.

Take your own advice, listen to the song, and then stfu. You didn't have to read the comment section. You could have played the song and move to the next one.

No it isn't. You're talking about false Grindcore, but Real Grindcore is Hardcore Punk based, and Heavier. BTW Anvil was just another Speed Metal band that Thrash Metal was inspired by. But if you've actually listened to Discharge, you'll see the roots more clearer. Now Metallica wasn't deemed the inventors of thrash for nothing. Now musically compare Anvil's School Love to Metallica's "Kill em All" Now One band alone isn't responsible for giving out blue prints to thrash.

Grindcore is now pure Metal, Thrash is in debt to Anvil.

And theres other genres othr than Thrash and Cross over Thrash that blend Metal and Punk together. (D Beat Hardcore, UK 82 style Hardcore, Crust Punk, Grindcore Stench Core etc... You might say they all sound Thrash Metal related based on Riffs tempos and pacing. Have you listen to Discharge? Thrash is in debt to those guys

I didn't say all Extreme Metal take Hardcore punk influences, but theirs shit loads of Death Metal bands that have Hardcore Punk influences. Cannible Corpse and Deicide imo are the worse DM bands ever, and can never hold a candle to bands like Black Sabbath JP Maiden etc... Suicidal Tendencies are products to none, they've fused Hardcore Punk with Thrash, just like D.R.I (Typical Crossover Thrash) NWOBHM had Punk influences before Extreme Metal was even created. BTW Slayer started out as FWBM

That pretty much describes all genres of Metal, Stuff like Cannibal, Deicide, Immolation and 99.9 percent of other Death Metal bands do not take riffs from Hardcore bands and are influenced by Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Judas Priest and so on. When it comes to Thrash it can be divided in to two. Megadeth, Metallica and Slayer (even tho did have punk influences) are products of British Heavy Metal and bands like Suicidal and so on are products of Cross Over.
