Life changes everytime, world is changing and she's changing too. She's seeing her daughter grows, seeing her work becoming a classic, and this changes the way you see things. She's not the girl of 92, or 94, or 96, or 98, or 2000. She's a growth woman, wife, mother, and a classic of music, important in the past, and now. But, well, people, just think a little and figure it. Tell me how you used to be in the past 10 years, and how you are now, and then compare to how you're gonna be in future.

Actually, women's voice change after menopause, it's normal. So her voice have to change, like any woman in the world. I think she still with a pleasure voice to listen to. After motherhood the voice changes a little bit too, so, actually her voice have been changing since 2000, but still beautiful. And when they say that she's loosing her passion, I don't think so. Give a good look on how she perform Flavor nowadays with the full orchestra. Beautifully.

I've heard several versions of this... she never does it quite the same... definitely prefer it on solo piano. The prettiest I've heard was the version she did on Carson Daly. Doesn't seem to be on Utube. (I have it on tape... but don't know how to get it on to comp. & then online.) If anyone has that version ...please Mr postman...

This song is so beautiful when it's just Tori and the piano.

I feel that the mispronunciation is her way of really using her voice as an instrument. It's more about the sound than the word, which is awesome. However I think her voice is losing its strength since beekeeper and perhaps a little bit of the way she sings now is to make it easier on herself. Thats just my thought on it.

oh yeah.. i have a cd of Sigur Ros. I have this feeling that European singers have this style of enunciating words or changing the pronunciation--- or maybe because they really have a different speaking accent and it reflects in their singing. Hmm.. maybe this is why, before, I thought Tori was European.

I think like Thom Yorke of Radiohead, she mispronounces words to distract the listener from thinking about what she's saying, and letting them feel the emotion of what she's singing. A good example of this would be a beautiful sounding Icelandic band named Sigur Ros. Listen to their song Untitled and it will definitely move you. I have no clue what he is saying but it gives me chills in the way he sings. Youtube it if you have time to kill. It's very slow and soothing just so you know.

At first I thought it was weird how she draws out her vowels, but it really grew on me. She's putting as much emphasis on her lyrics as she possibly can. The woman has so much soul, it's unreal.

What a great pianist! Everytime I hear a live version of this song done by her---she performs different variations of this. I like this version and how the music flows. I also like her live version (TODAY Live) I like her singing style. I just found it weird how she pronounces some words with a "u" sound
