Women can be violators too, so I think we all could feel shame. Please do not though if you're a good person.

You shouldn't feel shame. Rape isn't about gender (an individuals who rapes may have hatred of a gender as part of their motive but that's different). More men than we realize are raped & you get female sex offenders too. The shame on rape should be on those who commit it, excuse it or cover up on it. Not on either gender.

Tori is very brave for speaking out. I was raped. And jesus did not save me. Noone did. I tried everything to heal. I tried turning to jesus. And yes it does help in some ways. But I cannot agree that jesus suffered a worse violation then all of us. I do not like that statement and COMPLETELY disagree.

all intergenerational trauma based sexual, pscyho-sprititual rape. everyone in the musak biz, film, politics, military and 'show biz' at the 'stars 'n stripes' level are from this. it's part of family tradiciton and Talumudic law. natural, normal men are corrupted through their media portryals of sex dolls to be used and discarded on impulse.

@Kainlarsen I know it's been 2 years since your comment was posted, Iv'e just read it and just want to say, very sorry to hear about what happened to your girlfriend hope she's doing better now....it's very hard not to feel shame when something like that happens.

tori is very brave for speaking about her trauma in this way and leading other rape survivors to help. but if there's one thing we can all agree on is that Jesus suffered a far worse violation than any of us. and He rose from the grave to save others. i hope that these survivors develop a relationship with their savior to be freed from this kind of strong hold that the devil sends rapists to enslave victims with. tori's music can do a lot. but Jesus does it all if you call Him into your life.

@Kainlarsen - i completely feel you man. i struggle with the same thing. i think one of the best ways for men to fight this is to treat females with the most respect possible.

As a man, I cannot listen to that song. It brings shame upon my gender. Or rather, those men do. My girlfriend suffered at the hands of one of them a couple of months ago. But does it mean that we should all feel shame for the actions of a handful of us? I hope not.

Tori is amazing. She is an inspiration to everyone who has ever survived a rape. If only we could all speak out like she does. :) Keep it up Tori! (and you too Shannon)
