I saw RO on Arsenio Hall talking about the split. Then I looked at a bunch of songs to see who actually wrote what. It just might be true about Curt being the "front man" out doing the publicity & such stuff while Roland stayed in the studios & wrote the songs. Who gets the lion share of fame & who gets the gold? I liked em in the 80s, but Curt was not my thing. So I passed. Now 2015 comes along I watch Adam Lambert sing Mad World & love it, not the Gary Jules version. But on you tube you get the whole line up & I start watching all the videos & realize what I've been missing. Roland's talent is ASTOUNDING to me. He has aged like fine wine & is a very sexy "front man". He has the chops to do it all.

4:46 "They just weren't that good"I mean why is there a need to trample on one great musician just because there is another more acclaimed musician. I personally feel this is rather low as a form of journalism. It sounds like "Debussy is not that good because we have Beethoven" .. such narrow-minded childish remark .. its embarrassing ..There really is no need to put down one great band whose achievements maybe second to some but far superior to 99% of the rest. To a lot of listers, (a lot) , TFF's songs are actually at least on an equal level to any of The Beatles' best efforts in terms of lyrical and musical sophistication ..

I've always wondered: where does the "Graduate" project fit in the beginning timeline of TFF, with Curt & Roland discussing family issues and conveing them in songs? It didn't seem introspective or psychological music at all...

TFF 80s greatness- their first 2 albums are awesome- cant beat TFF and 80s style wich was best and still is. Best time ever- you understand if you were there. really.

That was ian Stanley having a little joke that curt and roland would have laughed at, a sort of in joke if you like

"To songs that only I could sing" - pretty true to be honest.

Four years is a lifetime in popular music. The managers and the record company never should've let it take that long. At least release a few singles in the interim. Whatever, they blew it, but the music they made is better than most. Pop music isn't easy to master and stay on top of.

Back in the day it took me more than 10 years to overcome an intense hatred towards Roland's grandiosity, This documentary helped.

I agree. I think the record label liked Roland more than Curt and they wanted him to do the very thing that Curt loved doing. :(

Don't get me wrong. I like Ian a lot but he just sounds like a complete and total asshole here. :( "It's a comeback. I don 't know? It's not very attractive is it?"? I wonder why Manny wasn't interviewed here?
