I think Tony became more of a cabaret singer in the sixties and later, more due to the changing music scene. He was, and still is, very popular on the Vegas and other club circuits, appealing to young and old alike. He truly re-invented himself!

@My01mustang Tony had a lot of great songs back in the fifties but for some reason he seemed to change his style in the 60's and was never the same since that song about leaving his heart in San Fran. He never had a big hit after 1963.

@Mapkit Oh, the CD version is clean from the master tapes, sure. And it sure is a thrill to hear in high definition the master tapes like never before. I'm just saying there's kind of a fun, nostalgic touch to hearing the old vinyl.

A beautiful melody, interpreted beautifully, one of my early favourites as a young lad in the fifties. My uncle sang this often, he was a very good amateur singer, I'll always remember him and this song, thank you.
