I find myself looking for more of "A Curious Feeling" inspiration from this great composer. There is something of it in this piece.

In reference to the title of this track (and Mr Banks's age at the time of the album's release), I like to subtitle this track "The Age of Christ" sometimes, if you get it. :)

1- I didn't say Vangelis in '83, I said Vangelis in THE SAME ERA, meaning the late 70s & '80s. 2- I wasn't bashing the song, I said it WASN"T THAT BAD. When I mentioned Vangelis, I was referring to the chords he often used & the sounds. Don't believe me? Take a closer listen to his music & TB's. Their styles are similar. 3- nothing 'clever' about my comment. 4- your reply made less sense than the braying of a donkey, you miserable pathetic douchebag.

Not Bank's best instrumental, but not all that bad either. Reminiscent of some of Vangelis' work during that same era, but perhaps not as complex.

@NarcissistsDie I suppose you are right, I should of said I am an admirer who has 80% of his stuff, but I still think this is a poor composition, listened to it again, still sounds like a mixture of some of his own work and Genesis which it is. I think Banks could of done better, it sounds thrown together and rushed like a fill in number. It is a retrospective subjective review, is there any other type of review ?. This sounds like Im on hold with BT. Sorry to disappoint love Curious Feeling.

The melody in the back at 1:04 reminds me a bit of No Son of Mine.

@genesisinsideme Me too! I love his shifts in key- they really hold a lot of emotional import! Good stuff!

I still remember hearing this for the first time! I was driving North on the NJ Turnpike at night passing all the big oil refineries at night! This music fit so well as to the scenery that I was seeing! I have all of Tony's work!

Nice to hear this one again down here, rememberings and nostalgia from 1983 I was around 18 but still very émotional and mind-prisoner from these "new" keyboard-synth moods, Prophet, Yamaha piano and Linn Drum, all a story along tony's creativity. My favourite from him were mostly the instrumentals (also) who all deserves a special compilation for the future listening child's?! it's just a dream

thank you ,you are right ,he always fligh on a high psychological level, and if you are connected musically to him, you can see the beauty of him ,the colours of his emotions, the intensity of his sensitivity.

it seems you love Tony s music as I love it too.... ! beautiful reflexions about the song, well Banks is a sourcefull of dreams for all who really have discovered him as Tony and not only as the keyboardist of Genesis ... and soul of the band ....

No, you're wrong, the first Tony Banks album is "A Courios Feeling" from 1979.
