Yup, you're right, exactly the same backing tracks/session recording; the drums are 'spot-on' no difference, but they are mixed alot deeper in EQ and louder in this first 'demo' mix. Petty's vocal sounds a bit strained; something that Jimmy Iovine (the producer) seemed to have evened out once he got Nicks to do her lead. I love how the Heartbreakers just kinda, sorta end the song by simply stop playing and not really coming up with a polished end. A very cool first mix, indeed! - BCRadio.
