petterdiesel, I am what you call reformed.I believe that in soteriological matters Grace, Blood, Righteousness and Sacrifice of Jesus Christ is absolutely necessary and completely efficacious. On non-essential doctrine and tradition I am not dogmatic but prefer a more Apostolic observance,(sacrament and baptism). A long answer to a short question! lol! Best regards to you and yours!

Regarding the material of which the keys are made....'reverse' of black/white.....the expense and scarcity of ivory is usually cited as the reason. In my experience, this seems to be the norm for much older instruments and not the exception. Thank you for the post & heartfelt thanks to D. Has Bish played at the Colonge Cathedral. I believe they have an organ similar to this one.

Are this organ's keys painted the reverse of standard keyboards? It seems the white keys here would be black on any other organ or piano.
