I thought it was beautiful but it wasn't until the end when Jesus responds that it gripped my heart and tears came streaming out. I had just been listening to Demi Lovato's new song "I Hate You, Don't Leave Me" which describes exactly how I feel about having extreme conflicting feelings of wanting to abandon my heart to Jesus and at the same time being terrified to give my heart away because I can't handle the pain of any other type of rejection. God has the power to crush my heart in a million pieces because I love Him and if He didn't love me back the same way I would feel just terrible. When you're wounded it is so hard to trust when somebody says they love you when you've been abandoned by a friend, family member, boyfriend, or spouse throughout your life. The ending to this song was like God speaking directly to me in this moment and caught me by surprise and I was flooded with emotion. He is amazingly intimate with those seek Him wholeheartedly. He really does hear our every word. I know I can trust He's never going to leave me no matter what.
