I sort of feel like Tim had alot more to say when he was an angry former drug addicted coming off a bout with alcoholism. It's been a few years now, he's been married and divorced, he's lived a comfortable life and traveled the world like a rockstar. His life just ain't raw anymore so neither is his writing. Yeah,Tim has written some really good lines (on And Out Come The Wolves, especially) but Mike Ness is a consistently GREAT writer. Rancid has kind of fluctuated in terms of quality,in my opinion, over the years. But then again, when you put out records like Let's Go and And Out Come the Wolves consecutively, how do you top that? then there's Social D. Last album was still damn good shit. Every album has nothing but good songs with three or four stand out greats. Can't say the same for Rancid.11 years ago
