Band: Thunderhead (Hannover, Germany)

Album: Behind The Eight-Ball (1989)

This was a very ambitious German Metal band from the late 80s and 90s. Although they had some success (a few of their singles have been played in the well known German clip show "Formel 1" or on VIVA TV, Kiling With Style" entered the German album charts) in Germany and especially Japan, THUNDERHEAD disbanded because of (most likely Ted Bullet's) drug problems as well as bad critics and disappointed fan reactions about their very untypical, much darker album "Were You Told The Truth About Hell" (1995).

Ted Bullet returned to the USA and tried a comeback with American musicians. They released the quite good album "Ugly Side" in 1998 but it sold bad. So this "THUNDERHEAD V.2" split up in 2000.

Henny Wolter and Ole Hempleman continued with other bands (e.g. SINNER, PRIMAL FEAR) and later founded the band DONNERKOPF (actually the German translation of THUNDERHEAD). which can be seen as the successor of the early THUNDERHEAD but with German lyrics. In 1995 they released an album called "Krachmaschine" (Noise Machine). Shortly after the release Alex Scotti who retired from music after the TH split joined the band. Vocals are done by Henny Wolter and Ole Hempleman. On their homepage you can find samples of all songs. I just don't know if the band is still active.
