Sounds Like a Mixture of Pantera, Godsmack, and Killswitch Engage. Awesome band here.

everyone keeps talking about them sounding like Pantera. yes they do on "Venom and Tears". on "Deathless", they remind me of Godsmack. nonetheless, I still think they kick-ass. just my 2 cents.

@1Beatis1 The guitars sound less like Pantera than the singing but they still sound a lot like Dime. The signature Pantera sound is the palm muted choppy groove based open e riff no matter how you tune it. Bottom line...great band and very talented. I think they should try to find their own sound a little more on their next record.

These guys are from the same town as Pantera in Texas. Obviously they were influenced. Their older stuff has more Hatebreed in it but this album is almost a Pantera clone band. I didn't like it at first for that reason because I knew he was intentionally trying to sound like Phil and Sully mixed. His last couple albums were his real voice. That being said, this album is every bit as good as anything Godsmack have done and pretty close to Pantera's best and that deserves a thumbs up in my book.
