I wouldn't say that is always true. I'm die hard for punk rock, but I am also eclectic, and listen to anything from 70's rock to classical to..well....this stuff. ^_^. Depends on my mood. I do agree with you, though, that many people ARE pigeon-holed into their genre, but not everyone. :)
