The point of disregarding genres is so that people will listen to a band instead of what their idea of "Post-punk Pre grunge, grimecore circa 94" is.

for me genres are necesary, if you like let's say Rhapsody and you want to know about simmilar bands you need genres 'cause otherwise you can get Testament or Behemoth if you google for "metal bands", is far more easy if you google for "symphonic metal bands", only that way you could get Pathfinder or Dark Moor

Ha Genres what a fuckin stupid idea. All that does is put a label on something so you know what to expect. How about not expect anything when listening to a new band. Who cares what genre they play or if they play different ones. WHy the fuck does it matter? They play metal and many different kinds and execute it very well along with being fresh and innovative.
