This guy is by far a better singer and musician in my opinion than Cornell, Cornell seems so outdated where as this guy has what it takes to make it in the industry now but sadly doesn't seem to be more popular than Cornell. I listen to Cornell's solo albums and Thornleys and Cornell doesn't even compare to how amazing Thornley is. Once again my opinion however.

I'd need to hear Mr. Thornley do an acoustic set that features his voice, before I'd even come close to comparing him to Mr. Cornell. If he does a set like Mr. Cornell did in Switzerland acoustically, then it's apples to apples. One man with a guitar like Mr. Cornell is like not much that I've seen. I don't agree with Mr. Cornell's politics, but I've never heard a live, acoustic show like he can do.

Ian Thornley is the most under rated musician in the last 20 years. If you listen to all the songs on the Big Wreck and Thornley albums, the consistency is staggering. This guy has created a huge catalog of original melody in times where nothing's original. I'm not into music like I used to be but I'll tell you I went out and paid for his stuff on purpose, something I don't do too often. Keep it up Ian!!!!!!
