This song is really good. A nice change from all the country songs that talk about trucks, mudding, guns and all that. I mean I like that stuff but I don't like hearing it in songs all the time if you know what I mean.

As a person with personal experiences from the 70's and ALL of its musical genres, COUNTRY MUSIC IS NOT (I REPEAT) IS NOT AS ONE-DIMENSIONAL as most of you are saying it is. Country music originally had MANY different sounds and sub-genres within itself. This particular song is reminiscent of Ronnie Milsap and Eddie Rabbit, BOTH of whom were renowned COUNTRY ARTISTS back in their day.Somehow, when the record labels and conservative executives of country music got involved as much as they did in the 90's, they produced a massive amount of songs by artists that all had a similar sound. This led the masses of sheep out there to believe that country music was and had a uniformed sound... Well, I was raised on country music since 1971 and I can attest that there are many different sounds to country music that have not been explored for decades. Some of the artists today are doing that again and it's STILL country.Do some research! Think outside the box! You'll be amazed at what came before you were born.Sylvia, Barbara Mandrell, Johnny Lee, Terri Gibbs, Roseanne Cash, Eddie Rabbit, Ronnie Milsap, OMG there are so many I can't even list them all. Tanya Tucker infused rock n' roll. Sylvia infused pop music, especially with her songs "Snapshot" and "Nobody". Ronnie Milsap was phenomenal and was considered country music's version of Elton John. Johnny Cash, Tanya Tucker, Sylvia, Ronnie Milsap, Charley McLain and Loretta Lynn were all played on the same station and it was as normal as anything else. My point is just know the history and past journeys before assuming. Everyone is under the impression that county music has a uniformed and apparently cookie-cutter sound. It DOESN'T.True original country music is as diverse as the terrains and climates of America and as diverse as the people who live within them. It's just most people are being exposed to that diversity for the first time in decades. Country music is coming back around to what it once was.

Great song and fun to play, try it. I hear a definite 50's vibe in it and the chord progressions are played real 50's like. Love the use of whistling, and the use of clapping for the percussion. Starting out low register sets the bass and you don't need a heavy bass line in this or dominant percussion the syncopation of the vocal carries it along. Really like the song even though the video is a bit hokey...
