This theme always reminded me of like a homage to the Goldeneye soundtrack, "whispering statues" . When bond is confronted by Alec, they are discussing their past, and their parents. Once again only in skyfall is bond confronted with his haunting past trying to eliminate him, while lamenting on his parents tragic death.
