good tune... Nice technique, but I feel in some parts of the tune he could create more movement, maybe with odd times or other techniques... 2:49-3:20 which I think is the main theme I guess, is quite repetitive imo... good tune though

You just asked what he brings, and if he bring motivation and inspiration then there's something that he brings. We all know he's not even in the same league as drummers such as Lang, Weckl and Harrison, but he can still do good for the scene. He may be all about tricks and such, but if that inspires people to play, let it be.

Barker brings inspiration to a lot of younger players. Even if he doesn't compare on the technical side, if it's what get students playing, there's no harm in it.
