I was buying random records from the African and Caribbean sections of my local thrift store, just going by the covers I liked. This was one of them. Lucky purchase! So, I probably discovered Tambu thanks only to the moustache and shirt he is wearing :)

OMG . That was what I was thinking yesterday. 2011 and 12 are the same rubbish. I am from Jamaica and we use to hear this music on the radio. Now I listen to this more that music from yard. I love love love my SOCA. Never miss Notting Hill for the last 21 years

Actually thats not true anymore now that we have the internet. If it wasn't for the internet i never would of been exposed to any of this culture. Sad tho that now you have the internet yet most of the music is of low quality.

That's cool! I didn't know Tambu was your dad's neighbor? Back in the day? That's really something! You made a good point! Trinidad has alot of talented gifted people! Who can really sing! It's a shame! The rest of the world will never get to see it! Thanks for sharing! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

this guy is my dads neighbor and saturday morning i would hear him singing all kinds of gospel and other songs, his voice was soothing it was like a private concert, our islands are full of so much talent, we all need to help to bring them to the world, not keep them for ourselves, share the best of what you have home thanks for the post of this great voice artist

This song is so fabulous!!!!! The idea is still current -- we girls want to have FUN!!! I remember Tambu & Charlie's roots concert in NYC in the late 80's!!! Awesome!! I wish they were still playing - - - forever!!

@originalTriniOne The quality of musical arrangements lacks creativity compared to tracks like this. All we get now is Fast Food music with no staying power. You can play this song in any function and it sounds FRESH! Great work Tambu. This is a TIMELESS TREASURE!!
