"Why does this sound different than the trailer version?"

The version heard in the trailer is a custom mix of this song made by Ninja Tracks. It has yet to be released.

UPDATE 6/2: Sadly, the trailer version did not make the film's soundtrack release. And when asked for a release on Facebook, Ninja Tracks stated:

"We really love this cue too, however, because it's a remix, there are things that prevent us from legally releasing it, or posting it. Hopefully one day we can work something out to get it released, but it seems unlikely."

This reminds me so much of Infinity War. Spoilers ahead: With the whole ending being the bleakest we've seen in the mcu and the remaining Avengers being filled with so much hopelessness and fear due to half of the universe fading to dust, just solidified that feeling
