As we watch our lively hood disappear with our rights being nothing and how the federal and provincial governments have taken all our rights away...how do we feed our cows or grow the grass that we need to feed this world? Everyone needs to remember no farmers no food. We are backed into a corner because big oil has all the laws and lawyers and we will have 5 of these god dam pipelines through our land and the big oil refuses to negotiate or compensate as they tell us like it or not they are coming thru. Looks like I have to go looking for my grand daddy's r****.NO FARMERS NO FOOD

Soon, this will be enough to be caged for extremism, eh?God bless you and your hurtin' albertans, Corb Lund."I don't got the money that lawyers can buyI don't got my own government's laws on my sideBut I got this old rifle that my grand daddy ownedAnd this is my prairie, this is my home."

It's a nice song and I understand the sentiments but, and I hate to say it, this is just more of 'not in my backyard'. Those monster John Deere tractors used to plow up the prairie soil won't run on wind or solar. They use diesel and dozens of other petroleum based lubricants to keep that machinery operating.Ol Ted Kennedy was all for wind and solar power but when it was proposed that windmills be installed just off shore of Martha's Vineyard he decided that his backyard was not an appropriate location for those unsightly and annoying contraptions. The bottom line is, with 7 billion plus people crawling around 25% of the earths surface, we're all gonna have to give up some of our backyard to meet the energy demand and energy drives everything from food production to posting songs on the YouTubes.

He should have a tour out in Nevada, possible by the Bundy Ranch.

Love the conservationist perspective through the eyes of a person who lives off the land. Similar to "The Truth Comes Out." The majority of our farmers and ranchers in the U.S. are so brainwashed by GOP ideologues, that they won't accept what is really happening to our planet. In the old days though, farmers and ranchers in the U.S. tended to take more progressive views on the environment. I guess some of our neighbors up north still do!
