You cannot say this doesn't take talent. I've been practicing for over 7 years and I'll still never be as good as this guy was. RIP Matt

It's allright, I just gave another point of view (I guess the closest one you could get on that situation) because it's not the only time that somebody calls it "the coward's way out". Changing mentality is no easy task and I've seen that debate turning into a war of opinions so I didn't want it to occur again, that gives me too many comments to delete :-) It's not given to everybody to be able to express themselves without insulting all the others. It seems that you are, so props to you.

No I understand that. I'm saying that that's why people believe suicide is the cowards way out. I don't personally believe that at all.

If you think suicide is the easy way then you clearly have a lot to learn about life. Depression is about as close to hell as anyone could get. You don't rationalize. Your brain isn't working properly. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. It's a dead weight you feel like you can never drop.

I understand completely. I don't believe that it's the cowards way out, but I know when people say it's the cowards way out that that's what they usually mean.

Sometimes suicide is caused by mental illness and it does not imply to be coward or brave, just sick. And sometimes sickness blurs your judgement and offers you no way out but the one he chose. Illness masks reality and hope just like getting a little drunk gives courage to do somethings you wouldn't do if you were sober. You don't get wiser by getting drunk, you feel like you are wiser. He wasn't coward, he was sick. The things he faced before he died took a lot of courage to deal with.

No. It's the cowards way out because it's dropping everything in life. Life gives you obstacles. Life is hard sometimes. Suicide is an easy way out of all of that.

cause I'm just a little too old to dive into a war :-) He gave his opinion and he received some nasty answers. It was fair enough for me. Anyways, even Matt almost never fell for those comments, so I'm trying not to be angry at everthing they throw at my son...We taught him that tolerance would win every time against ignorance...so, I'm trying to be consequent. But thanks for taking position. peace.
