Yeah, that part is golden. Well, in general terms, this album is their best and their earlier stuff is not far off either -- which is what I tend listen to by these guys. Also, on the new stuff, I really think Moonlight Waltz is a very good album, surprisingly so. Before that, I thought all their post-Bloody Lunatic Asylum albums with or without Lord Vampyr were flaccid parring separate songs here and there, but Moonlight Waltz has a great atmosphere throughout. Kind of gives me some hope!

True, true. I like the goth stuff too, though. Pleasure and Pain is a great album but Nightbreed of macabria has somewhat boring weak sound. In Lilith's child they showed real talent and resourcefulness for example by using the verse from Baudelaire's Le Revenant, recited by Sonya in French. That part gives me goosebumps. :)

Agreed with everything you said. In general, I feel this album to be their best, bridging the old stuff with their mid-era -esque more gothicy stuff, before going completely gothic on our asses (2004 and onwards - I like some of that stuff, not most). This album has a great atmosphere, vox, good use of synths, very warm bass tone fitting of the album, good varied riffage and so forth. This is simply their most sophisticated and refined, without lacking the ferocity of their mid/later stuff.
