"I dared go no further, I dared not meet with the Spanish blood."

This is one of my favourites from the Cumular Limit album. It's an acoustic track that was recorded at the end of The Yardbirds era for an album that was never released.

Date: 1968-04-04

Location: Columbia Studios, New York

The band:

Jim McCarty - drums, vocals

Jimmy Page - acoustic guitar

Chris Dreja - bass guitar(?)

It was the right birth. (For some I know, only their mother and father, those two people alone are equipped to guide them. Yet, one is missing). Love, Message to Pretty.

How fat or slim is the chance that he might be saying "I dare not MATE with Spanish Blood"?... that would still be in context, maybe even more so.

The voice-over is cool, but I don't really care for the "That was the wrong F*cking verse" at the end of it...I mean it is funny, but when I used to play this on the radio a few years back, I'd end it after McCarty said "I dare not meet with Spanish Blood" at the end. They should release a 45 of it (with "AVRON KNOWS") without the 'I F'd up' ending.

lads.... that was the wrong fucking verse..... how is it possible I am the first to comment on that?

Far from it. I've learned virtually everything he has ever played both live and on record as close to note-for-note as humanly possible. If you read my other comments you will see that I have said that I am open to the possibility that it is Page, I have just said that I haven't seen any conclusive historical proof.

When Someone LIKE YOU Can't think of any valid comment you'll Always resort to "The Standard Jimmy Slam" "He is Sloppy" You Have a Problem. You can't play wtih Feel and Resent anyone who can.

Dued you must be a Page Hater and have a Extreamly Poor Ear that IS SO Jimmy Page. I can not believe you can't hear it PAGE IS THE STUDIO KING he is on More Songs From The 60s and 70s as a session guitarist than anyone PEROID.
