I absolutely adored that film as a fan of the novel it really brought the words to life. It's such a remarkable story and it expresses the power of love with a twist of loss. Jay was about to get his girl back and in a single moment his life was taken from him. He lived his whole life missing his love and their reunion was cut short. Just absolutely unexpected, leaving you feeling deeply. Reminding you of the light across the harbor. That light symbolizes harmony, peace, unity and love. It also stands for strength for it never burned out just like the love Jay had never died. 10 years ago
