Mrsilverup, This was a true story in that during the '60's there were a lot of "garage" bands. Some bands made it out of the "garage' while some needed to stay there. I know I grew up in the '60's and was a member of several bands ending up in a band that made a recording in a real studio before being drafted in 1967. So in a senses this is a true story in that this movie depicted the happenings of the bands in the '60's. This movie brought back so many memories with the music of those times.
