Hey, thanks. It may have been letterboxed when it was originally broadcast on TV because that medium was in 4:3 aspect ratio. Now that we use widescreen monitors at 16:9, it fills up the screen. The original file for this video was 696x352 which is ~16:8.1. This is similar to a Slow Dog - Belly video I resized, which was filmed at 16:9 in 1993 but only ever existed in 4:3 even online.

@dougviasocal The story at the time (dunno if it's true) is the original idea was to call the song "Dallas" but it didn't work phonetically so it was changed to "Kansas".
