Cheers Hans. Duncan's drummer on this album, as well as Streets of Fire, was the inimitable Simon Phillips, accompanied on both albums by the equally inimitable John Giblin on bass . . . quite the rhythm section, yes? Cheers!

Barry Manilow actually recorded this song too. (!!!!) It was scrapped from his 1981 album, but later saw the light of day in a box set.

Fantastic song, outstanding composition with the flow of making love. And a fabulous drummer, anyone know his name?

Um, yes, they don't make 'em like they used to, do they.... Feel like I'm ten years old all over again...

Folk-wave? hehe. What an absolutely fascinating curveball from left field Duncan has thrown us! This man wrote what is perhaps my all-time favorite British/baroque folk album (Give Me Take You) and it's hard to believe this is the same man. Is this the path Nick Drake would have taken had he not died so darn young? Kinda fun to ponder. This is actually REALLY diggable...a bit more sophisticated than most new wave from this era. Nice post!
