Just lost one of my best friends about a week ago. At his service they said his favorite band was The Who. The reality is many of our best times together included listening to this amazing band.

¡Jajaja! Es que, cada vez que oigo un pedazo de canción de esta categoría, me entran ganas de reír. ¡De puro gusto! ¿¡Cómo es posible que existan temazos así de buenos, Dios Santo!?

Thanks. I've seen them a few times, the first in 1975 at Maple Leaf Gardens. That was likely part of the same tour you saw. If Keith was wearing the Esso boiler suit it was. They were amazing. Cheers.

Wow. Lucky you! I'm glad you got to see Roger and Pete perform. I only saw them once, I think it was 1975. Kieth was amazing! They all were. They played a lot of Quad, Who's Next, Who Are You, and some Tommy. Some early stuff, like Summertime Blues, The Seeker. It was awesome!

A lot of people bitch about Roger Daltrey, the same as they bitch about Ringo Starr when they say these guys "lucked out". The only "luck" involved where bands of that scope are concerned is that the right people came together. I saw them at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto last week and Roger owned the place. The only times that man didn't give 200% was when he was giving 300%. You're right. He is taken for granted and he shouldn't be.

I always felt that Pete Townshend and John Entwisle had better sounding harmonies than John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and the chorus on this helps my case a little.

yep, i think his early years connected to quad more than the others ????

I can't imagine The Who without Roger Daltrey. He does have an uncanny realism to his vocals. Sometimes we take greatness for granted.

Love this song. Pete Townshend was a hell of a songwriter. Roger Daltrey gave his songs a voice that nobody else could have. Entwistle played the bass like a lead guitar, and Keith Moon was the engine that drove the train.

very true all. Hey let us hear all the classic stuff. The great thing about rock in the 70's was it knew no limits. No 2 minute brothers in hard rock back then.
