I was wondering if there was a video for this song as it is always very visual to me. I have lived in Melbourne, that kind of life in the late 80's early 90's. This pinpoints and captures that particular inner suburbs aesthetic really well, too well almost. Admiring some sophisticated yet poverty - affecting bohemian girl's amazingly laid back and intelligent personality, but at the same time never being quite in sync with it. Oh, I could write a book on this stuff, maybe.

Listened to this so much as I was growing up, one of my favourite Whitlams songs. And I'm in love with her town as well, if I weren't such an Adelaidean I'd just about call it the best city in Australia. ; )
