I know that many people think that the song talks about Rita Hayward but I think it's just the facade because for me this song talks about Meg, The White Moon.You already know that The White Striper aesthetics are the colors black, red and white, no?Black is in both, Jack is red and Meg is white.Body language is the one that speaks volumes of the relationship they share. it's obvious to me. she is his bandmate. her quietness and what seems like muted emotions and enthusiasm annoys him but he cares about her as a friend bandmate and ex wife. he feels platonic towards her like a sister. the song is about his wife who like Rita Hayward is a gorgeous redhead about to have his child. for meg, her god awfully sexy x husband with his amazing body near her doing his supremely artistic thing in such proximity, singing about another woman having his baby brings her to tears. he feels awkward at first and avoids eye contact. after he embraces her the first time he is smiling because he's flattered that his artistry has moved her because hes done his job as an artist by making people feel. she is still crying and leans towards him very slightly cuz she needs a hug. he gives her another sweet platonic comforting hug because she needs it he can see. when her hand goes up and touched his forearm a jolt of electricity went thru me cuz I can see the longing in her touch. really touching.  I was wondering if meg had muted  emotions she is so quiet.  how stupid of me.  of course she does and it was touching he cared enough to embrace her.  that was so nice seeing them be emotional together.  surprising after seeing so many concerts on youtube.  weird, when she touched his arm which was comforting her a shock of electricity went through me.  how odd.  it was beautiful watching them touch.  odd
