The Weekend from the Album Beatbox My Heartbeat. This song is the orginal version. It was later used in the TV show Instant Star and covered by the lead character Jude(Alexz Johnson) for the final episode season 1. The cover version also appears on the Soundtrack to the show. Andrea Wasse also Co-wrote the song "Could Be You" from the same Series/soundtrack.

First of all Alexz Johnson recorded the song first so this is considered a cover of the song. Members from this band wrote the song together so it technically belongs to them but that doesnt matter its still a cover to the originally recorded verson.

Came here after finding Digital Daggers and I am pleasantly surprised to find she helped with Instant Star songs. I personally love both versions- the Instant Star version is more of a singer/songwriter rock version whereas this is more pop rock. Different but love both.

she's a great singer, but i like Alexz's version the most, Alexz sings feeling the song, she puts emotion to it, i like this version too but Alexz is just the best.

I must not lie...I'm an Alexz Johnson fan, and even if I wasn't I like her version better. Andrea doesn't sing the song like Alexz does, she doesn't put all the passion to it, it's just not perfect. It's good, actually it's awesome, but Alexz really has the charm to sing it. I like this lyrics better though, they should've not changed the lyrics for Instant Star Version.
