They are one of the best things happened to rock music in the last years, Philadelphia must have a special essence flying trought its air to give us Granduciel and Vile.. U2 are one of the worst thing ever happened to rock, so I really can't see what they have in common..

War on Drugs are obviously influenced by NEU U2 sound is similar because their producer is Brian Eno,who took lessons about ambient music and motorik beat with NEU's guitarrista and some guys from Cluster Watch the BBC krautrock documentary to know more
