left an office a while back and the lady I was meeting with yelled at me "Bye Marlene"(pronounced as in the video) and a guy started singing this as I walked by... I had never heard it before.

It's funny how memories work, I'm a 90's kid and satellite radio guy, but I don't think I heard or thought of this song in literally 12+ years. Someone mentioned it so I looked it up, and remembered the melody and almost every word. Had it not been brought up, I doubt I ever would have thought of it again.
