How I Met Your Mother had the stupidest ending. But they are the ABSOLUTE BEST in soundtracks. I might be biased, but to me, it's really unarguable. Whoever picked the songs during their 9-year run should be rewarded... or something. Thanks for the great music! Shitty ending, OUTSTANDING MUSIC!

Although I hate the ending, I think it could of been much better. This is the perfect song for the finale, 'don't leave me, you're my best friend' I love HIMYM and it's been with me for 9 years and you could always say it's like a best friend to some people. I love the show and will always remember it :)

I loved the ending of How I Met Your Mother, it made sense because he was focusing on telling his story with robin, if the ending was just the mother then he would have focused on talking more about how he spent time with the mother and he wouldnt have started with the first time he met robin (first episode). One of the best shows ever.

I don't get it why some people hated the ending. if you look closely, why would a man tell a story of how he met the mother of his childs, without her being around to tell the story too... i knew the mother was dead while he was telling it in the first episodes , it just made sence! Robin was the first women to be introduced ... we rarely saw the mother even in the last season...etc !
